Assessment & Exam Format

IGCSE exams are usually held in May/June and October/November. Some subjects may also be available in March, depending on the exam board and location. Assessments include a combination of written examinations, coursework or practical assessments for certain subjects, and oral tests mainly for language courses. The exam structure varies by subject, allowing students to demonstrate both theoretical understanding and practical skills in a balanced and effective way.

Grading System

IGCSE grading follows one of two internationally recognized systems. Students may be graded using the A to G scale or the 9–1 grading scale, where 9 represents the highest level of achievement. Both grading methods accurately reflect student performance and are accepted by schools and institutions worldwide.
